Nov 20-21 WSMC

This was the now infamous weekend that got cancelled due to: crashes, oiled track in several places, cold, snow, wind, and so on. Race director Danny Farnsworth got fired for cancelling the races shortly afterwards. You can read the mayhem that ensued here: WSMC unofficial BBS

The weekend actually started out beautiful. No wind, warm-ish weather and sunny. Track record setting conditions.  But on race day, we woke to a little rain and sub freezing temperatures.

Three races were held before cancellation around 12:30. There are usually 18 races on a race day at WSMC. They were restarting race THREE after noon, and someone crashed in the warm up lap.  I spend most of the day in Rich's trailer. I DID go out in first warm up practice and was very sorry for doing so as my fingers actually fell off of my hands. They just froze right off.  I found them later, warmed them up and put them back on, but not after a lot of whining first.
